Jotun Philippines, a Norwegian multi-national paint company, formally opened its paint factory with a royal launching ceremony last November 6, 2017 at the Light Industry and Science Park (LISP) III in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

The grand opening was highlighted by the participation of the Princess of Norway Martha Louise, who led a fairy tale presentation of the 91-year old Norwegian company’s history.  Jotun Philippines Country Manager, Mr. Stamatis Solomakos, and Jotun Board Chairperson Odd Gleditsch dy, also actively participated in the performance.

Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas welcomed the commencement of operations of the PhP 1.1 billion factory as it means more job opportunities for Batangueños and residents of the CALABARZON region.  Also on hand was Mr. Kristian Netland, Deputy Ambassador of Norway to the Philippines.

Established in 1926, Jotun targets to produce five million liters of paint per year to supply coating requirements for Marine, Protective, Powder and Decorative segments.  Vince Altar – Batangas Capitol PIO
