Bilang pagtatapos ng mga serye ng aktbidad sa buwan ng Oktubre, isinagawa ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Batangas, sa pangunguna ng Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood, and Enterprise Development Office (PCLEDO), ang culminating activity ng Cooperative Month Celebration noong ika-26 ng Oktubre 2023 sa Regina R. Mandanas Memorial DREAM Zone, Capitol Compound, Lungsod ng Batangas.

Ang selebrasyon, na may temang, “Cooperatives: Pioneering the Path to Recovery Amidst Modern Challenges of Climate Change and Food Security,” ay aktibong dinaluhan ni Governor Hermilando Mandanas na binigyang-papuri ang pagsisikap ng mga kooperatiba na mapalago ang kanilang industriya na nakatutulong upang mapalakas ang ekonomiya ng lalawigan.

Ang nasabing okasyon ay pinaunlakan ni Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Assistant Secretary for Community Participation Elizabeth N. Lopez De Leon, ex-officio member ng Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Board of Directors, na siyang tumayong panauhing tagapagsalita.

Kasabay nito, ginanap ang Magiting Coop Awards 2023 kung saan pinarangalan ang anim na Coop Achievers na nakakuha ng mga pagkilala sa regional at national level. Kabilang dito ang San Isidro Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SIMCO), The Rosario Livestock and Agriculture Farming Cooperative (TRLAFCO), Batangas Egg Producers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, San Jose Sico Landfill Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative (SIDC), at Cooperative Union of Batangas (CUB).

Kasama ring pinarangalan ang sampung Outstanding Cooperatives ng lalawigan na binubuo ng Batangas Public School Teachers and Employees Credit Cooperative, Ibaan Market Vendors and Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Ilijan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Mariposa Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Talumpok Silangan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Malalim Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Ibabao Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Balakilong Credit Cooperative, Sibbap Multi-Purpose Cooperative, at Tulo Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

Bukod sa mga kooperatiba, kinilala rin ang mga partner agencies ng PCLEDO sa pagpapaganap ng mga programa, kabilang ang Department of Agriculture RFO IV-A, Department of Agrarian Reform-Batangas, Department of Science and Technology – Batangas, Department of Trade and Industry – Batangas, at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Binigyang-parangal din ang mga nanalo sa nagdaang Koop Quiz 12th Blast Provincial-Level na sina Gail Anjela Aristo ng Dacanlao Gregorio Agoncillo National High School, Calaca City bilang 1st Placer, Brix Aidan Pesiga ng Pansol Integrated National High School, Padre Garcia bilang 2nd Placer, habang naging 3rd Placer si Princess Luden Alquiros ng Banaba West Integrated School, Batangas City.

Samantala, isinagawa rin ang ceremonial turn-over at acceptance ng Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Sub-Projects kabilang ang Dairy Production ng Batangas Dairy Cooperative (BADACO), Seaweed Production ng Layon Carbonan Chapter Seaweeds Farmers, at Coffee Production and Processing ng Aga Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AGFAMCO).
Para sa ikalawang bahagi ng programa, nagkaroon ng presentasyon ang Philippine National Police (PNP) – Batangas, Pag-IBIG Fund, at Cooperative Union of Batangas (CUB).

Dumalo sa nasabing aktibidad sina Acting Vice Governor at 5th District Senior Board Member (BM) Maria Claudette Ambida at 5th District BM Arthur ‘Bart’ Blanco, 1st District BM Armie Bausas, at Lian Vice Mayor Ronin Leviste.
