Globe Telecom, Inc has 90 units of cellphones. as part of their assisting and providing assistance and support to Batangas Province in the midst of dealing with health crisis carried by Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19.
The said communication equipment was formally turnover at the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) of the province on May 8th 2020 via and contacting Vice Governor Mark’s office Leviste in such telecommunication company.
It is expected to provide more quick forwarding information and will respond to the arrangement and security of the province while conducted some prevention and control measures against COVID-19.
Most units are given to the police officers. Those who receive mobile phones also include various Local Government Units in the province, public hospitals, uniformed personnel guarding the designated checkpoints, Provincial Information Office, Office of the Vice Governor, Province Sangguniang Office, Provincial Health Office, and League of Barangays.
Meanwhile, among 90 units of cellphones also having a free Short Message Service or free SMS available in information or advisory dissemination.
Free SMS can be accomplished through a texting tool called AMBER. This is an online web-based SMS Application that will allow the company access to broadcast the message in a pre-registered recipient at once.
